Hello and Thank You for visiting Vivacious Locks by Vickey.  I specialize in Sisterlocks™ and Brotherlocks™. 

You may ask what are Sisterlocks™? Sisterlocks is a natural hair management system that allows women with tightly textured hair to take advantage of a wide range of today’s hairstyles without having to alter the natural texture of their hair. Brotherlocks™ is used when referring to men with this unique hair technique. Brotherlocks™ are larger than Sisterlocks™. I have some women clients that prefer a larger lock and have chosen Brotherlocks™ instead.

There are no butters or creams used to obtain and maintain these locks. The hair is simple woven into a pattern indicative to your hair type and allowed to lock.

The Sisterlock™ and Brotherlock™ package includes three visits. The first visit is the consultation. During the consultation you will be given first hand information about Sisterlocks™ through two short films and a consultation manual. I will also install test locks. We will meet again in approximately 1-2 week to re-examine the test locks after they have been washed. At that time we will set a date for your Sisterlocks™ installation. The third visit is the 4-week follow-up. At the four-week follow-up I will do a full retightening and it will be determine at that time if you will follow a 4-week or 6-week retightening interval. Retightening is required as the hair grows out. The hair is simply retightened back to the scalp. This process normally takes between 3-4hrs. Most of my clients are on a six week follow-up but depending on your hair type and texture you may need to return in 4-weeks.
